Amble vs Oak

Amble and Oak both offer GLP-1 telehealth, but they make different trade-offs on speed to first dose, flat pricing, access and molecule choice. Here they are side-by-side on the Rx-Readiness Score — our readiness rubric.

The verdict

Higher Rx-Readiness Score: Oak

Oak edges out Amble on the Rx-Readiness Score, 83 to 62 (B vs C). Working moms who want a fast, no-video start with bundled coaching at a flat price, and who will read the non-refundable, arbitration-bound terms and confirm their state before committing.

Amble is still a genuine option — a genuinely async start in 45 states, wrapped around a price page that advertises one molecule and hides the other: tirzepatide runs $329 a month, 84% over the headline, and you cannot find that out without starting the intake. Weigh the six readiness factors below against your own priorities.

Amble

Ranked #24 · Grade C

What we like

  • A real async start: in 45 states the online health review is the whole encounter, and Amble names the five states that need a short video or audio visit
  • The semaglutide price ladder is public with no quiz-gate — $179 a month, down to $135 on six months
  • Supplies, shipping and ongoing clinical monitoring are stated as included, with no separate membership fee, and HSA/FSA cards are accepted on three-month plans or longer

The caveats

  • Only semaglutide is priced in public. Tirzepatide starts at $329 a month — 84% above the advertised $179 — and that ladder appears nowhere a shopper can read it before starting intake
  • A $100 non-refundable 'visit and clinical fee' is written into the intake consent, contradicted by a 'no cancellation fee' screen two steps earlier, and absent from the Terms of Service entirely
  • Prepaid plans are non-refundable, cancellation needs 15 days' notice, and the Terms warn that anyone disputing a charge to escape a commitment will be 'sent to collections and/or have further legal action pursued'

Oak

Ranked #7 · Grade B

What we like

  • Async-first — 'no video calls required' — with same-day board-certified provider review
  • Flat 'one price, all dosages' on both compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, with free shipping
  • Free health coaching bundled in — uncommon at this price point

The caveats

  • 'No subscriptions' marketing conflicts with its Terms, which describe an auto-renewing subscription
  • Orders are non-refundable once prescribed, with a binding-arbitration and class-action waiver
  • Compounded isn't available in California; the exact per-tier price and named pharmacies aren't public
